Lissat & Voltaxx are none other than well known producers Jens Lissat and Marco Wolters from Cologne, Germany. They have worked together on several projects over the years. Since 2006 Jens and Marco, under the Lissat & Voltaxx alias, have released many projects on trendsetting labels such as Toolroom, Sneakers Muzik, Kingdome Kome Cuts, and Ministry of Sound. They have a wide range of styles from Progressive to House to Tech House. They tour all over the globe creating mass hysteria with their unforgettable sets.

2008 was a very successful year for the duo. Their remix of #1 UK hit “Silence” by Delerium hit the top 10 charts in 8 different countries. In addition, the Lissat & Voltaxx remix for Eddie Thoenick’s “Watcha Want” not only hit the top of international charts, but also was on the playlists of many global jocks. Their biggest success came in September 2008 with their own release titled “Release Yourself” The track hit #1 on several digital platforms and was re-released in 2009 with a hot remix package.

2009 has been a rewarding year for Lissat & Voltaxx. With remixes for Roger Sanchez, Nick Bridges, Austin Leeds, Tom Novy, and Tomcraft, they have quickly become the go to guys in the remix world. Their tracks on Eric E’s label have been doing damage on the international scene gaining them acclaim and recognition.

Most recently, Toolroom has welcomed back Lissat & Voltaxx for their third release on ‘Leader’s Of The New School’. Hot on the heels of their fantastic “Sunrise Over Mali” release (which featured standout mixes from D-Nox & Beckers, Phunk Investigation & more), their production technique and profile is pricking the ears of some of the biggest Dj’s in the scene like Dubfire, Fedde Le Grand, Paolo Mojo, Groove Armada, D.Ramirez, Tocadisco, Thomas Gold, Roog, David Penn, Chris Lake and more. Covering all bases musically, there are no less than seven mixes to choose from!! Not content with being pigeon holed to any one sound, the Lissat & Voltaxx original mix sets off rolling along with a solid house groove taking elements of all genre’s, incorporating loads of FX trickery and an excellent delayed Piano stab. Gradually building the pace with layer upon layer of sound. Dj Wady rightly so, is a name on the tip of everyone’s tongue at the moment. He turns in a brilliant take on the Original, setting the pace from the starting blocks with an up-tempo samba-esque rhythm. Manuel De La Mare is another hotly tipped star of the future, and we can see why here… He is on form with a dubbier blistering tech house cut that has you jumping up and down screaming for more. Other remixes come from Eric Entrena, Kid Chris, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, whilst not forgetting the Original Instrumental from Lissat & Voltaxx themselves. All in all a tasty package that is sure to please everyone from the Deep House fraternity to the uplifting Prog House, Tech & Techno heads.

Ralph Kyau had his first experience with the production of electronic music in 1990 and gained a reputation for DJing as well as Live PA sets at several underground techno parties in Germany before releasing his first record “Modulation Experiments” at the end of 1993.

Together with DJ Shandy he founded the label Harmony Recordings in 1993 and they signed the massive Mirco de Govia as their first act. At the same time, Steven Moebius Albert began to produce his own tracks and in the summer of 1994, Ralph and Steven met for the first time.

They produced their first tracks together for a live performance, realized that they have a common perception of music, and decided to try their hands at producing together. The result was their first single “Let me in” released in 1996. From then on they became known under the artist name of Kyau vs Albert. Their two small studios merged and they founded a music production company “Euphonic” in 1997, signing Sonorous aka Rough Mullar as well as Ronski Speed. With such a strong backing of producers, the team began pushing for their sound to be heard.

In 2000, the guise of Kyau vs Albert became recognized by WEA (part of Warner Music) and a long term contract was put together, forming the start of their journey into dance music, with huge support from DJs such as Paul van Dyk, KayCee, Tiësto and many others.

In 2002, Sun Decade shone through on the Euphonic label with the massive “I’m Alone” which blew the roof off many house and clubs around the world with its soaring vocals and superb productions, putting Kyau & Albert and their Euphonic Label at the top of the list in the industry.
