The Peak Hour with Frank Frenzy
THE PEAK HOUR WITH FRANK FRENZY
Electronic Dance Music. Radio. Discovery. Since 2006.
The Peak Hour is Frank Frenzy’s long-running electronic dance music radio show, created to showcase the sounds, artists, producers and records shaping the world of electronic music.
From its early FM broadcasts in Toronto to today’s continuing episodes, The Peak Hour has remained focused on one thing: bringing great electronic music to listeners before it becomes yesterday’s news.
The show continues today, with new music, new mixes, featured artists and carefully selected tracks being added to the ongoing Peak Hour archive.

THE STORY OF THE PEAK HOUR
The Peak Hour began in 2006, when Frank Frenzy brought his electronic dance music programming to FM radio in Toronto.
From the beginning, the show was designed around discovery.
Rather than simply following the mainstream, The Peak Hour featured new, exclusive, promotional and unreleased tracks, alongside established records and emerging sounds from the international electronic music scene.
The original archive documents episodes dating back to 2006, including detailed track selections and special guest appearances.
What started as a radio show became a continuing musical platform — connecting listeners with DJs, producers, labels and artists from around the world.
And The Peak Hour never stopped.
—
MORE THAN A RADIO SHOW
The Peak Hour is built around the culture of electronic dance music.
The show has featured music across the electronic spectrum, including:
House • Progressive House • Electro • Tech House • Trance • Dance • Club Music • Electronic
The format has always allowed the music to evolve.
As electronic music changed, so did The Peak Hour — while maintaining its original purpose of discovering and presenting exciting music.
—
THE EARLY YEARS
The Peak Hour’s original archive provides a snapshot of the electronic music landscape of the mid-2000s.
Episodes featured tracks from major international producers, independent artists, record labels and remixers, with Frank Frenzy building each show around the music that was moving through the club and electronic scene.
The archive includes early episodes with guest DJs and international artists including Tiësto, Mark Norman and Cor Fijneman.
Some episodes specifically highlighted exclusive and unreleased tracks, establishing one of the show’s defining characteristics from the beginning.
—
GUEST DJs & INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS
Throughout its history, The Peak Hour has opened its decks to DJs and artists from the international electronic music community.
Among the notable early guests were:
Tiësto, Mark Norman, Cor Fijneman
The show also featured other DJs and special guests throughout its history, creating a platform where listeners could discover artists directly through their music and mixes.
—
THE MUSIC
The Peak Hour has always been about the next track.
Frank Frenzy’s programming philosophy is simple:
Find the music.
Listen to it.
Choose the records that stand out.
Put them in front of the audience.
The result is a show built around discovery rather than a fixed formula.
From driving club records and progressive sounds to house, dance and trance, The Peak Hour follows where electronic music is going.
—
THE PEAK HOUR TODAY
The Peak Hour is still broadcasting.
The show continues to evolve with today’s electronic music scene, while preserving the history of the original program.
